  Guitarist, Vocalist and Songwriter Peter Mayer brings his acclaimed Christmas tour to the stage this holiday in “A Stars and Promises Christmas – “This Town.” Mayer is a frequent traveler in the musical world, sharing the stage with James Taylor, Paul McCartney, Don Henley, Paul Simon, Dave Matthews and many others. Many know him best for his 35 years as lead guitarist for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, and from his own career as a songwriter- performer which include: Warner Bros. Artist PM, the Peter Mayer Group, and his collaboration with his son Brendan Mayer. His own musical journey includes more than 20 albums, among them, four Christmas albums.

  This marks the ensemble’s 27th year captivating crowds nationally with a world class group of musicians that includes violin, woodwinds, bagpipes, electric and acoustic guitars, percussion, electric and acoustic bass, and the rich harmony of five voices all moving seamlessly through an array of styles: Celtic reels, folk songs, world music rhythms, classical carols, jazz and rock ‘n roll, along with a nod to the music of Jimmy Buffett.   “Rumba di Nochi” is a Curaçaoan Papiamentu phrase meaning nighttime rumba, referring to a vibrant cultural and musical event that brings the island to life after dark.
  That’s exactly what we are going to do!
  
  In a break from tradition, we are holding our in-port party in the evening. This will allow everyone the full day to explore Curaçao (we are in port from 8:00am to 10:00pm) to take tours or hit the beach. Our party will start at 5:30pm and we’ll celebrate as the sun goes down with a spectacular view: We will be high up over Willemstad overlooking the famous Queen Emma swinging bridge at the Elevation Rooftop.
