Sweep the Hooch is back on Saturday, April 7!
We will be at 2 locations:
Bob Scarboro will be heading up the team at Cochran Shoals/Columns Drive. There are 0 spots left (see Note below). This team will be heading after the sweep to socialize at Tijuana Joe's at the East Cobb location: 690 Johnson Ferry Rd., Marietta, GA 30068. http://www.tijuanajoescantina.com/
Sue Lorincz will be heading up the Sweetwater Creek team. There are 0 spots for walkers and only 4 spots for paddlers (Volunteers must provide their own kayaks and/or canoes. Boats are not available on-site.) However, if you miss the registration just let Sue know you are coming, there was a lot of trash to be picked up at this location last time! Depending on how many participate we could stay for a picnic lunch.
Note: If you want to volunteer at another location that is awesome, just remember to add the "Atlanta Parrot Head Club" when registering so we can keep a record of who volunteers.
About Sweep the Hootch:
Sweep the Hooch is a community, annual day of service to the Chattahoochee River – join us in giving back to the mighty river that gives us so much. Volunteers are invited to go by foot, in waders, or kayak/canoe to remove trash throughout the watershed. CRK provides gloves, trash bags, trash removal and recycling, restroom facilities, and team lead support.
Register now at one of more than 40 cleanup locations – from the headwaters above Lake Lanier, through the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and Atlanta, and down to West Point Lake.
Started in 2011, Sweep the Hooch has since mobilized 3,500 volunteers to remove more than 57 TONS of trash from the Chattahoochee and its tributaries.

We look forward to seeing you there! If you are still not a registered APHC member you can still join us.
