  • Olde Towne Tavern 835 Lawrenceville- Suwanee Rd. Lawrenceville, GA 30043

Long-time APHC member Susan Oates runs a Breast Cancer charity, Paint Georgia Pink, that puts on several fund raising events throughout the year for hospitals in the metro Atlanta area.   One of these is the Man Olympics, which is in its 13th year. This particular event will benefit the Gwinnett Medical Center's Breast Health Center.  Susan and her team could really use our help making this event a big success.  While there is a lot to putting on this event they need our help with the food service.  You will be serving chicken wings and whatever else the restaurant provides for the contestants and spectators.  Please consider signing up to work this fabulous event. It has been a huge success in the past and they could really use our help!

You are welcome to come out as a participant or a volunteer.

There are multiple levels of participation.  It is $10 to register as a volunteer (It all goes to the charity!). If you want to volunteer and get a t-shirt it will be $25. And for another $20 you get food and beer! When you register ask to be grouped with the Atlanta Parrot Head Club or APHC.

You can register by clicking here

Thank you for your help and support for this great cause!

Event Details

Man Olympics is a grown-up field day held annually.  Participants will compete in events such as Football Toss, Putt-Putt, Horse Shoes, Ladder Ball, Basketball Free Throws and Corn Hole! In past years there have been additional events including a Man vs Food Wing-Eating Contest and a Spirit Wear Competition because "Real Men Wear Pink"!

The event will be held on Saturday April 28th at Olde Towne Tavern in Lawrenceville. Opening ceremonies will begin at noon and the games should finish around 4. Be sure to plan to stick around for the trophy presentation as soon as scores are finalized to be followed by live music on the patio from trop rock artist and APHC favorite, Jim Asbell.

This will be a great, new venue for the event! The owner's mom died from breast cancer related complications, so he is pleased to be a part of giving back to the hospital where she received her treatment.

Be sure to guarantee your spot as well as t-shirt size by following the link above to complete your registration. T-shirts will be ordered in 2 weeks, so you don't have long to claim yours.
